On December 2, Intel Chipmaker Corporation will start its new design and engineering center in Hyderabad. Reports allege various facilities are ready at Salarpuria Knowledge City in the IT arcade of Madhupur. The company has already taken four floors on rent and can accommodate up to 1,500 employees.
On Thursday, Telangana’s IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao tweeted, “Happy to share that global tech leader Intel will be unveiling their new design and engineering center in Hyderabad on December 2. Exited that this will further boost Hyderabad’s position as a key product innovation destination.”
After a conversation with Intel India’s country head Nivruti Rai, the IT minister conveyed about the Intel’s set up in Telangana.
After completion of 20 years in India, Intel grabs a Hyderabad-based semiconductor design startup called Ineda Systems.
The 100 skilled graphics engineers from Ineda were hired by the US-based firm to focus on design and engineering in addition to 5G and AI.
Microsoft, Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon are already in the list of marquees in Hyderabad and now Intel enters with the new edition.
Intel enters three months after the US-based firm Amazon started its massive set up in Hyderabad.
China-based smartphone maker OnePlus also started its Research and Development department in Hyderabad.
Qualcom, US-based semiconductor and telecommunication equipment company invested $400 million for its expansion in Hyderabad.
