With the recession, job loss and companies winding up operations, 2019 has turned out to be a bad year for the economy of India. In the second quarter, the GDP growth rate fell to its lowest for six years. The estimates released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) revealed that India's GDP for the second quarter of the financial year 2019 (Jul-Sep 19) was 4.5–the lowest since 2012-13.
