Numerous artists have been influenced by it, and it has even been used as the inspiration for a certain type of bikini wax. Unfortunately, the iconic Paris metro ticket will soon be going the way of the dodo.

The little rectangular card has been used for 120 years without fail, but now it's being phased out in favor of a contactless future for the city's public transportation.
