A YouTuber-turned-lawmaker has been ordered to apologise for missing Diet

A YouTuber-turned-lawmaker living abroad was ordered on Tuesday by the disciplinary committee of Japan's upper house to apologise to parliament for missing all of his sessions since being elected to the Diet last year.

If Yoshikazu Higashitani, better known as GaaSyy, does not comply with the demand, the House of Councillors panel will consider more severe measures, up to and including expelling him from the chamber.
