Army officer killed in an encounter between militants and security forces

In an encounter between militants and security forces in Pir Panjal valley, in Rajouri district, one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) on Thursday.

According to the spokesperson of the Army, the security forces and the terrorists exchanged fire in Rajouri area in Thanamandi. One JCO got shot by a bullet and suffered injuries in the encounter. The JCO belonged to the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles.
