As reported by Coal mint, India's thermal coal imports will increase by about 15% in the year 2022

On Monday, figures from Indian consultancy Coalmine showed that due to increased domestic production and shipments by utilities, India's imports of thermal coal, used primarily for power generation, surged by 14.7% in 2022, reaching 161.18 million tones. Coal shipments, which are commonly utilized in the steelmaking process, also saw slight growth, according to the data. Shipments of PCI coal rose by 8% to 13.43 million tones, while import....
