France's government and unions were still at an impasse on Monday over the shutdown of oil depots, which has led to widespread fuel shortages and threatened to disrupt the country's transportation network.

Major unions have called for strikes on Tuesday, posing the most serious challenge yet to President Emmanuel Macron since he was re-elected in May.
