Avocado Farming -A blessing for Tanzanian communities

Following a dirt track in western Kilimanjaro will take you to a renowned German coffee farm. Northern Tanzania mountain slopes are popular for arabica coffee beans which is best in quality. Of late, the place hasn’t grown commercial coffee in a long time. One can see thousands of pear-shaped avocados spread across and ripening under the sun. Once famous “coffee land” is now “avocado land”.
