BBC is all set to broadcast a new program on Radio 3 just in time for Christmas, which will also be its audio highlight of the festive season. The program will feature the silence of a walk along the coast in the magical country of Greenland.
Greenland – An Arctic Sound Walk program will be an example of slow radio, to help listeners relax from their hectic lives with restful content and command material. ‘We pick out the beating of ravens’ wings, the crackle of frozen streams, the screaming winds and the sudden all-consuming silence when everything stands still,’ said BBC.
The three-part program debuting on Christmas Eve will bring you music that captures Greenland’s magical colors and dynamic atmosphere. The program will follow a trail along Greenland’s western coast through vast emptiness, as the author Horatio Clare experiences the silence and brutal force of elements.’
Other festive podcasts by BBC on BBC Sounds will feature special edition of Gemma Collins podcast with Christmas Classics, Private Passions by Dame Darcey Bussell talking about how her feet have suffered due to dancing.
The Museum of Curiosity, a Radio 4 panel show will feature J.K.Rowlings over the festive season and Cillian Murphy from Peaky Blinders will play tender music on New Year’s Day on 6 Music.
