The football craze has taken over the world and there have been absolutely no exceptions made, but the Indian football has been suffering a lot in this craze, the people who love football are there in India but the Indian football scene is somewhat questionable as the team has never been able to achieve any recognizable success in the game.
Sunil Chhetri is a known name in Indian football and is the captain of the Indian football team also the captain of the Bengaluru Football Club and he has been the face of Indian football as long he has been in the game. He recently stated that the bigger the league India enters, the bigger exposure they will get and it will be better for the Indian Football scene. All India Football Federation (AIFF) has suggested a roadmap to The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) which the approved and it ends with the Indian Super League (ISL) being integrated into the national league structure with promotion by the end of the 2025 season that starts in 2024. Chhetri is very supportive of this as he thinks more people will be involved at a national level and the sport will gain popularity overall, more teams to participate, more players to be seen by the world this is will be a bonanza for the players to showcase their abilities and show the system what they have.
We hope that the football scene of India gets the boost that they need by this new venture and change the bad fate that they have had for so long.
