A popular fast-food chain, White Castle, will soon open in Florida near the Walt Disney World. The White Castle outlet in Miami was shut down in 1960 after operating for a decade. The construction for a huge 4,500 sq. ft restaurant will commence over the next couple of months. The completion date is estimated around late 2020 or early 2021. The outlet might remain open for 24 hours, every day, all week.
The burger giant will return to Florida after more than fifty years. The White Castle fetches a revenue of up to $725 million annually. The company has recently opened a new company-owned store in Arizona. They are also planning to introduce kölsch (beer) from Weyerbacher Brewing Company to accompany their sliders in 400 restaurants over 13 states as reported by Whiskey Riff. The locations and the dates are yet unknown. The company also introduced a plant-based patty to the menu to cash-in on the growing trend of vegetarianism and vegan food.
White Castle recently set up a popup for people in Orlando, offering them signature veggie, black bean, beef, and chicken breast sliders. “We believe now is the right time for us to enter the Sunshine State, and Orlando is an ideal location to launch our business there,” said Lisa Ingram, CEO, and President.
