CHINESE PH.D.STUDENTS DISAPPOINTED AS YEAR-PLUS AUSTRALIAN VISA DELAYS

• Number of approved Chinese Ph.D. applicants decrease
• Visa subsidies have fallen from 79% in last year, 88% in 2017-18 and 104% in 2016-16 to 69%  

As processing delays are prolonged, the proportion of Chinese Ph.D. applicants whose Australian visa applications are approved decreased dramatically.

Success rates are now far below those in other important source countries of Chinese ....
