US stocks traded peacefully through a holiday-shortened Christmas Eve session, holding onto gains that has made the current year as the best year for equities since 2013. This growth was in contrast to the turmoil a year ago.
The technology-centered Nasdaq market ended the day at 0.1% higher. This is a new record of capping 10 straight days of gains, performing its best since the summer of 2017.
