Comax Flavors, a family-owned flavor making company has now introduced a new collection featuring Food Trends in 2020. The collection includes flavors in four categories- plant-based snacks, nostalgic sweets, Asian food and low or no alcohol beverages. Comax flavors are Clean Label and Organic and are suitable for use in beverages, syrups, ice creams, or baked food.
The demand for plant-based food is on a high over the past few years. More and more consumers prefer eating healthy snacks throughout the day to feel satisfied. Comax’s plant-based collection will be vegan and kosher. The Plant Power Snack collection will include maple bacon ranch, lemon truffle, and honey sriracha flavors.
Consumers wanting to take a trip down the memory lane can choose flavors from the So Doughlicious collection. Catherine Armstrong, Vice President for Corporate Communications at Comax says that ‘Comax created the So Doughlicious assortment as a nod to childhood.’ Reports by Technomic claim that there has been a rise in menu items related to cookie dough by 9% till 2019. Flavors in the Doughlicious collection include birthday cake, s’mores, and cold brew coffee cookie dough.
The younger crowd is more adventurous with their food choices and seek authentic global taste. Foodable Research Labs report that there has been a rise of Asian inspired menu at casual restaurants by more than 30%. The company has therefore included trending Asian flavors in their new collection with flavors like milk tea, ube vanilla, and Japanese pancake.
Another food trend on a rise is non- alcoholic beverages. As per the research team at Morning Jump, almost half the population in all age groups prefer non-alcoholic beverages. Around 40% of the drinking-age does not prefer drinking. Keeping that in mind Comax has launched a No Proof Needed an assortment of flavors including no-geroni, mango-no-tini, and match pineapple punch-less.
