DOLLAR BECAME A SHADE FIRMER AGAINST YEN

The Dollar took US President Donald Trump's impeachment in stride and was a shade firmer against safe-haven currency yen at 109.56. An index that compares the dollar to the other six major currencies is at 97.347, which is the second-highest for the week.

The British Pound remained under pressure due to the chaotic exit from the European Union (EU). It was last at $1.3018 after sliding near 2%.
