The university is set to collaborate with 20 organizations and develop the first of its kind high-capacity rechargeable battery. The partnership will congregate in the end of spring 2020. They plan to implement the design proposed by Doshisha University. Zinc and nickel will be used as electrodes in the low-cost battery. A patent has been filed for the battery design.
