Electricity Tariffs in Singapore to Increase by an Average of 9.9 Percent in the Second Quarter of 2022 Due to Increased Energy Costs Around the World

The increasing energy costs in Singapore arising from the increased oil and gas prices around the world as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine have led to a rise in electricity tariffs in Singapore in the second quarter of 2022.

On Thursday, the SP Group announced that the tariff (before the GST) from 1st April to 30th June will increase by an average of 9.9 percent or 0.0249 Singaporean dollars per kilowatt-hour from the rat....
