A report by Juniper Research found that facial recognition is likely to become the fastest-growing use of biometric hardware on smartphones, as mobile banking security takes on new forms of authentication technology.
The report indicated that by the year 2024 facial recognition would hit more than 800 million mobiles, up from an estimated 96 million in 2019.
