The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC") announced changes to the limitations on brokered deposits (the "Proposal") on 12 December 2019.11 The Proposal seeks to modernize the FDIC's brokered deposit system and to amend both the statutory rules for brokered deposits and the processes for seeking exemptions and filing reports.
