A Pablo Picasso representation has sold for $9.1 million, making it the most important work by a non-Canadian craftsman to sell at closeout in the nation.
The 1941 work of art sold Wednesday at the Heffel Fine Art Auction House portrays picture taker Dora Maar, who, during her association with Picasso, filled in as the chief subject of his "Sobbing Woman" arrangement. The pre-sell off gauge for "Femme au chapeau" ....
