Focus of the next UN envoy will be on the status of women and girls in North Korea.

In her opening press conference on Friday in Seoul, Elizabeth Salmon, the recently appointed Special Rapporteur of the United Nations on the situation of human rights in North Korea, pledged to utilize her authority to better defend the rights of women and girls in that country.
