The United States has been an essential name in the auto industry as it has always been a hot market and a very sales friendly and profitable one to the car makers all over the world. But the local carmakers of the United States have seen some significant issues as the worker’s workers strike is spreading.
After General Motors being hit by a massive strike that lasted over 40 days, the strike movement has been starting to plague the rest of the auto industry of the United States. These strikes are hurting the already slow and near-crisis auto industry of the world. The Strikes after the GM have reached United States carmaker Ford Motors, and this seems like it is a wrong omen ring to the carmaker. As it has lost almost 3 billion USD to general motors during the strike period. The carmaker is renegotiating a four-year agreement with the United Association Workers (UAW). UAW leaders from the various US plants will meet on Friday to approve the deal, which will then be sent to the 55,000 members at Ford for final approval, a union spokesman said. Ford has confirmed the agreement but has denied commenting any further and has asked to wait for an official statement in that regard.
This deal shows that the carmaker is willing to make changes before there is enormous damage done to the already miserable auto industry. This has been demonstrated that Ford is more focused on being stable than raking in huge profits by cutting Union wages.
