In order to revitalize the ailing economy, German Chancellor has said that the country needs to develop at least 3 million charging stations run on renewables by the end of 2030 for which the funds have already been allotted and the process been started. To the country that gave the world its first diesel engine and whose auto industry has been a thorn of every rivals eye, there is a massive slowdown in the sector as well as in the domestic economy with the government doing as much as it can for the general citizenry and the companies alike but the buck comes before the eyes, and that has been the claims of everyone who has stood in the name of environmental issues to raise awareness and draw the attention of the world's biggest auto manufacturers towards the ill effects of their creation. Merkel said that the German auto industry is poised to shift their stance from traditional manufacturing to the advanced manufacturing process involved in the production of an electric mobility vehicle, and there is a greater need for support in infrastructure if these ambitious plans are to be met. Many believe that this is just a cosmetic therapy that the Germans are applying as they have left it to too little for too late just like the previously announced climate package of about €50 billion for the achievement of their Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and the net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050.
Germany's auto manufacturing industry seems to be in a dilemma though with no big names coming forward to showcase their development in terms of long-range electric mobility, something that the Eastern partners are doing and faring pretty well in the business lines of the new trends. The global forecast for the auto industry doesn't look very promising either with major economies facing a meltdown, the sector is poised to lose some money, but German industry is set to lose a lot more than just money, many believe it will lose its identity as the authentic automotive manufacturer of the world. Only time will tell what happens or not but in the meanwhile, the focus has been heavily driven on Merkel's announcement which has been seen like the words spoken after a war to calm the families of the dead
