Gigantic Bluefin tuna sells for nearly $2 million

The purchase of the enormous bluefin tuna was done by Kiyoshi Kimura. He had previously set the record for the highest price for a tuna in January 2019. This year he paid an amount of US $1.75 million to buy a bluefin tuna weighing 608 lb. (276 kg).

The fish auction takes place in Tokyo’s fish market at Toyosu. This auction was a part of the new year sales.
