Girls in an ashram in Delhi that has been accused of illegal confinement have been given four weeks to register.

On Friday, the High Court of Delhi ordered that the Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidyalaya, a spiritual ashram in Delhi's Rohini neighborhood led by self-proclaimed godman Virender Dev Dixit, obtains official registration within four weeks.

There were allegations that 162 girls were being held captive in the ashram by an NGO.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has been charged with looking into the claims.
