  • Of late, glacier stretches in China’s ravaged Qilian Mountains are dwindling at an astounding pace as global warming wreaks unfathomable changes and raises grim prospects of stunting, long-term water scarcities.
  • The longest and biggest glacier in the 800-kilometer (500-mile) mountain cross on the arid north-eastern rim of the Tibetan plateau has receded about 450 meters since the 1950s, when researchers set up China....
