Technological innovations in the designing of ENT chairs are anticipated to driver the global market growth. Rising demand from the geriatric groups and disabled persons is also one the factors driving the growth of ENT chairs market. Special chairs are designed for ENT purposes that provide help and support to aged or handicapped individuals to live a convenient life. These are designed to function for hospital use, clinics and home use and are easy to operate, install and maintain. As the wheel chairs lie on a lower plane, the process of lifting them to a higher plane or to a vehicle was difficult. However, with the advent of wheelchairs lifts, we can easily avoid this lifting process completely which can be done easily and automatically with the help of a switch. A switch on wheelchairs helps in operations of functions like folding, unfolding, lowering, and raising.

Rising cases of ENT problems in pediatric population

Children between the ages of six months and three years old are prone to ear and nose infections than older children and adults because of their undeveloped immune system to fight common viruses and bacteria. Children's ENT ailments can range from colds and flu to allergies and ear aches. Ear, nose and throat (ENT) problems are very common among the pediatric population group and around 74.92 per cent have at least one infection before they turn three. Rising cases owing to unhygienic conditions, malnourishment and different socio-economic environment issues are some of the factors that positively impact the disorders occurring to infants, which in turn, drive the growth of ENT chairs.

Examination Room segment captured the highest share in 2020

The examination and treatment chair provided by Happersberger otopront GmbH (SIT 4) combines slim clean design with full functionality and ergonomics. A special feature of the SIT 4 is the sloping telescopic column, as a result of which the patient is automatically brought towards the doctor when the chair is raised. This ensures even better access to the patient. The version with 30 cm lifting range ensures to use the chair for adults as well as for children (including infants and pediatric) without special seats. The height of the treatment chair is easily adjusted using the footswitches built into both sides of the base plate. It is available as Soft Pad Cushion, with decorative stitching or as smooth seat cover. All versions are extremely durable, easy to clean and resistant to disinfectants. There is also the option of an external footswitch. The armrests and leg rest simultaneously follow the chair's sequence of movement until it reaches a completely horizontal position thus ensuring perfect support and patient comfort. In case of a collapsing patient the backrest can quickly be brought into the -10° Trendelenburg position. It also allows performing different pendulum methods. These are controlled by a remote control. The program-controlled electric motor performs various pendulum tests (5-90 sec) and has a freely programmable interface.
