The beginning of 2019 had Google announcing the new feature of buying and sell gold through its app Google Pay. In order to make it fully functional, Google joined hands with MMTC-PAMP, a mining service provider. Recently, some reports said that the tech-giant will soon announce a new feature for Google Pay. The new feature will allow users to gift gold to other people. Many users checked this new gold gifting option in app’s code. The final launch of the app feature is dicey and purely depends on the testing and the development. If everything goes smooth, the final launch will happen.
The new gold gifting option was spotted by XDA developers in Google Pay v48.0.001_RC03. It was reported that the new version consists of a new string, a clear indication of Google working on the new feature. There are no official announcements on when the new feature will roll out and about how it is going to work. The code clearly says that Google has already started working on the new feature. If things go wrong or testing doesn’t give desired results, developers will drop the idea of the final official launch.
