The renowned brand for fitness and sportswear of the United Kingdom, Sweaty Betty, after recent years’ escalated sales, has opened a store in Central’s IFC Mall in Hong Kong. It is their very first store in Asia, where the health and wellness market is on the rise.
Sweaty Betty, the British women’s sportswear brand that is often compared with its rival brand, Lulu lemon, had an increase of 18 percent in sales last year, and now owns 60 plus stores across United States, Europe, and now Asia.
The newly opened store in Hong Kong will offer the additional services offered at the brand’s London Carnaby outlets such as monogramming, kombucha free-flow drinks, personal shopping experiences and yoga classes along with their entire collection.
The Chief Executive of Sweaty Betty, Julia Straus, said that the brand is aware of the political and economic instability but people are concerned about their health and thus spend well on fitness.
Sweaty Betty, founded by Tamara Hill-Norton in 2000, has made its name in the competitive industry of the activewear by offering beautiful and strong sports apparel for women.
A part of the credit for the brand’s success goes to its apparels’ features. The leggings from Sweaty Betty do not only make the appearance better but are also resistant to sweating and perfect for any type of exercise.
The all-female team of the brand, started as a single store in London’s trendy area, Notting Hill, and has traveled across the US and Europe and has made its mark in the American and European markets through its signature leggings.
Customers in Hong Kong to be attracted by the Sweaty Betty brand, as they are willing to pay high prices on high-quality sports and fitness products and services. According to a research by Oliver Wyman, in 2018 the focus on fitness and well-being has been escalated in recent years in the region as there has been a 30% increase in the sales in the last decade.
