The state telecoms monopoly in Ethiopia, Ethio Telecom, Addis Ababa, on Jan 15 (Reuters) - Ethiopia has announced an increase in the sales in the first half of the year to 22 billion birr ($693 million) on Wednesday.
The nation, headed by the reformist Prime Minister named Abiy Ahmed has made the plans to sell a strategic investor, including the Kenya's Safaricom, a minority interest in Ethio Telecom.
