In India, Bayer confronts a shortage of the contraceptive pill Yasmin

Bayer, a German pharmaceutical company, stated that it was experiencing supply issues with its popular oral contraceptive pill Yasmin in India and that supply would recommence in the "next few days".

Since March, approximately forty Indian pharmacies and drug distributors have reported that Yasmin, the number two combination oral contraceptive pill in the country, is in limited supply.
