An Italian medium tank, it was unusual and too few in size, but on a tank-per-tank basis, it was still a challenge to Allied counterparts.

The Carro Armato P26/40 was a rare example of an Italian medium tank— the Italian army considered it a heavy tank because it was heavy compared to the other Italian tanks, but it was approximately equivalent to the M4 Sherman of America. Medium tanks for the SovietT-34 and the German Panzer ....
