India’s first Indigenous motorized wheelchair developed by IIT Madras

The Indian Institute of Madras (IIM) has developed India’s first motorized wheelchair. This can be used on roads as well as terrains. This electronic wheelchair can go up to 25 kms on a single charge.

This is called as ‘NeoBolt’, and is developed by Prof. Sujatha Srinivasan and her team at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras. It has a maximum speed of 25 kmph, it is backed up by lithium ion batter....
