Individuals with poor access to food are 10% to 37% more likely to die prematurely

According to new research in CMAJ (Canadian Medical Association Journal), adults with food insecurity (i.e. insufficient access to food due to financial constraints) are 10% to 37% more likely to die prematurely from any cause other than cancer than food-safe people.
