Industrial production decreased, manufacturing output increased in the month of December

The Industrial production decreased by a 0.3 percent in the month of December as the in manufacturing increases by a 0.2 percent and the mining by 1.3 percent were both outweighed by an approximate 5.6 percent decline in the utilities, according to Federal Reserve. The decline in the utilities is much attributed to the large decrease in the demand for heating systems, with a warm December that was after a pretty cold November.
