Italy must do more to protect women from violence

According to GREVIO, an expert group in the field of violence against women of the Council of Europe, during its first assessment of the country's implementation of the Istanbul Convention on the Prevention and Combating of Violence against Women, gender equality in Italy faces resistance, despite some progress being made on promoting women's rights.
