Japan and China are planning Kishida-Xi talks, with Thailand as a possible destination.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Japan and China are working to arrange talks between Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and President Xi Jinping, with Thailand as the preferred venue but Indonesia still a possibility.

Kishida told reporters early Saturday that Japan is working with China and South Korea to set up summit meetings with their respective leaders on the fringes of international gatherings in the coming days.
