JAPAN GOVT. PASSED A BUDGET OF $976 BILLION FOR FISCAL 2021

• Japan govt. passed a budget of $976 billion for fiscal 2021.
• The amount would be used to mitigate the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.
• Part of the budget will also be used in rising social security and defense costs.
