JAPAN’S ‘FUGAKU’ RETAINS POSITION OF SUPER COMPUTER IN TERMS OF COMPUTING SPEED

• Japan’s ‘Fugaku’ retains the position of supercomputer in terms of computing speed.
• The ranking was given by the U.S-European TOP500 project.
• The supercomputer performed over 442 quadrillion computations per second.
• The Riken-Fujitsu supercomputer was transported in May to the institute's Center for Computational Science.
