Jerry Moss, a music industry titan who co-founded A&M Records with Herb Alpert and rose to the pinnacle of success with records by Alpert, the Police, the Carpenters, and hundreds of other artists, passed away at the age of 88.

Moss, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Alpert in 2006, passed away on Wednesday at his residence in Bel Air, California, according to a family statement.
