Laos Expecting Possible ‘gaps’ in fuel supply as prices soar

On Monday, a major gas supplier to Laos said that the country might face some gaps in Petrol supplies after the government had to hold an emergency meeting for addressing the soaring prices of fuel and panic buying in the country.

Several petrol stations had to be shut down last week, causing consumers to wait in queues for hours and stock up. 

Laos depends on imports from Thailand for most of its petroleum needs.
