Large amounts of smuggled liquor,cigarettes detained

On Saturday, a total of 1,472 cartons of contraband cigarettes and 66 boxes of smuggled alcohol were detained by the police, in 2 distinct operations, in Sandakan.

For the first operation, at about 9:30 AM, State Region 4 Marine Police’s team came across a van suspiciously parked and deserted in Kampung Maliau.
