Leading pro-Taliban cleric is killed in a deadly bomb at an Afghan mosque.

According to Taliban authorities and a local doctor, an explosion that occurred on Friday in western Afghanistan tore through a crowded mosque, causing the deaths of 18 people, including a well-known imam. Over 21 people suffered injuries.

During Friday noon prayers, the pinnacle of the Muslim religious week, when places of worship are at their busiest and most packed, the explosion occurred in the Guzargah Mosque in the western city....
