LG Energy Solution and Hyundai Motor Group Set Up a Joint Venture for NA Battery Cell.

Hyundai Motor Group said on May 26 that it had signed a deal with LG Energy Solution to set up a joint venture factory in the U.S. to make battery cells for electric vehicles (EVs) by 2025.

The joint venture factory will be built in Bryan County, Georgia, where the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is based. HMGMA is a factory that only makes electric cars.
