Scientists recently extended the lifespan of roundworms by 500%, in a landmark experiment. This lifespan is equivalent 4-5 centuries of human life.
Genetical alteration of two cellular pathways was done by researchers for increasing the life span of a certain nematode worm called as C.elegans. Cellular pathways are used as biological signaling systems that cells use to communicate with each other.
