Merkel to visit Moscow in between strained relations

Angela Merkel, German Chancellor will be heading to Moscow next Friday, before visiting Ukraine. Her spokesperson said the details of her trip will be provided next week.

It is Merkel’s first visit to the capital since 2020. The relations between Germany and Russia are already strained because of a variety of reasons, such as poisoning of Alexei Navalny, Moscow’s troop build-up on Ukraine, etc.
