Networks in France band together to compete with Netflix

On Friday, three French television networks revealed that they will be creating their own streaming website in an effort to compete with American behemoths Netflix and Amazon. The new site, dubbed Salto, will be a collaboration between France Televisions, a public broadcaster, and TF1 and M6, two private networks.
