New Australian Nuclear Waste Facility

The Government of Australia has decided to build a National Radioactive Waste Management Facility (NRWMF) in Napandee, South Australia (SA).

Traditional owners are in strong opposition to the project and are also planning to file a judicial review. Environmentalists are also not in favor of the project and have questioned the safety of transporting radioactive waste.
