MetLife has opened a new Asian Center of Excellence (CoE) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which shall be catering to the needs of finance teams all over the world.
With the help of local experts, this new centre shall provide services of planning and analysis, financial reporting, and also services of financial technology systems.
This Centre of Excellence is located at the Vertical Corporate Towers, in the Bangsar South commercial district in Kuala Lumpur and has a team of 80 members.
The Chief Financial Officer of MetLife, John McCallion said that this centre was an interesting addition to their Asian region and that they intended on tapping into the amazing talent pool and work on delivering the best quality services to their business partners all over Asia.
Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia, YB Datuk Darell Leiking said that the competitiveness of the economy of Malaysia hinged on sound financial planning, smart business foresight, and forecasting.
He added that the launch of this centre was a significant addition to their domestic ecosystem, and they were very pleased with the fact that MetLife had strengthened their presence in the finance sector of Malaysia.
The decision of opening this Centre of Excellence in Malaysia was initially made in March 2019.
MetLife is also operating some other CoEs in Asia. One of them is an innovation centre called LumenLab in Singapore. Adding to the list are a few operations and technology hubs located in Malaysia.
MetLife was established in the year 1868 and is currently offering insurance products as well as services in more than forty countries across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, among many others.
