As the world moves towards the transition of making all our transport vehicles clean and least impacting on the environment. There has been an amazing rise in the popularity of electric cars and other fuel-based cars like hydrogen-powered and solar-powered ones. Korea is also trying to dominate the ever-changing auto market, and with the world suffering, the nation might make it.
Korean automakers are making huge progress in the fields of electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles that are the future of the transport industry. The requirement for batteries to power these future cars is increasing by the day, and the manufacturing of batteries is an emerging sector of the auto world. Umicore a battery creating company has started a plant in Seoul, Korea and this will be boosting the nation’s electric car production and will also help provide the batteries to carmakers like Hyundai and Kia at a much cheaper rate as they are manufactured locally, rather than the high-cost imports they require. This will reduce the production costs and hence make it more affordable for the consumers, and this will eventually push the sales as affordable cars.
The Korean auto scene is changing, and this new facility of batteries is just the start, and more firms will follow and partner with Korea to make some fantastic progress in the Korean auto scene and help it grow further. It will be interesting to see how this goes for Korea.
